Monday-Friday onsite, 9a-5:30p
What you will do:
Along with Safety management, maintain compliance with all plant safety and environmental programs. These programs will include but are not limited to: Hazard Communication, Lock out- Tag out (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Bloodborne pathogens, confined space, and hazard assessments.
Chair facility Safety Committee
Assist with coordinating and conducting safety and health training, including OSHA compliance, weekly huddle meetings, new hire orientation, annual training of all plant employees, conducting employee incident investigations and root cause analysis.
Work closely with plant management in optimizing opportunities to reduce risks using Ergonomic evaluation, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and make recommendations for correction.
Support compliance oversight with regular inspections to include, but not limited to the following: fire equipment, emergency response vehicle components, AED units, hoists, ladders, eye wash stations and stored respirators.
Assist with Fork Lift training and certification.
Follow-up with safety and environmental inspections, recordkeeping, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
What you will bring to this position:
At least 3 years experience of safety work, preferably at a manufacturer.
Bilingual preferred
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and compliance highly desired
Fork Lift certification a plus
BA preferred
Understanding Risk Management Procedures (RMP) and Process Safety Management (PSM) a plus.
Ability to work in cold temperature plant
Able to pivot, adjust, prioritize and multi-task
